Welcome to the Guesthouses Boxberg and Eichwald.
1, 2 and 3 room apartments are available for your
convenience during your stay at the EMBL. You can
reserve your apartment either by contacting the
respective Guesthouse or through the group secretaries at the EMBL. If
you make your reservation well in advance, you make
sure there will be an apartment available for you.
Please let us know your date of arrival when making
your reservation. Your key will be available at
the reception of the ISG Hotel in Boxberg [Im Eichwald
19, opposite the Guesthouse Eichwald].

Cleaning Service
Please note that guesthouses have an obligatory
cleaning service. See prices below. This service
is non-negotiable.
Rooms and apartments are cleaned once a month [more
often upon request with extra charge]. The cleaning
service will automatically change your sheets and
towels, unless you prefer to use your own. Dish
washing and tidying up are not included.

at the EMBL Reception or at the ISG Hotel reception. |
Caretaker Service
Should any repairs in your apartment be necessary,
please let us know as soon as possible so that we
can inform our caretaker. It is also possible to
enter necessary repairs into our 'Complaints Books',
which are located opposite the big bulletin boards
at the bottom of the stairs to the office [Boxberg]
or next to the lift in the entrance area [Eichwald].
Garbage Disposal
In Germany, garbage must be separated by law. Yellow
containers are for recyclable garbage such as cans,
tins, plastics etc., blue containers are for paper
and cardboard. Green or black containers are for
non-recyclable garbage such as food rests, tissues,
nappies etc.
These garbage containers are located next to the
building.
Glass containers are provided by the city and are
located about 10 meters to the right of the Boxberg
guesthouse and opposite the Eichwald guesthouse. |

| Rental
Conditions |
|
|
|
The apartments can only be rented
for a whole calendar month [1–30 or 31 of
the month]. If you wish to stay longer than this,
you must sign a leasing contract. It must be signed
within the first 3 days of your extended stay and
submitted to the guesthouse administration. The
contract is binding and states that you must pay
your rent by the 15th of every month. Notice must
be given one whole month prior to vacating the apartment.
Example: If you wish to vacate the apartment by
the end of May, notice must be given by the end
of April.
Rent can be paid by direct debit, cash or euro-cheque
to the guesthouse administration. For bank details
please contact the relevant guesthouse.
Tenants staying longer than a month must provide a refundable deposit. At the beginning and at the end of the lease, a signed agreement will be made regarding the inventory and condition of the apartment. At the end of the lease if no damages or outstanding debts occur, the rental deposit will be returned in full with accrued interest. |
