Challenging Molecules [PPT]

Challenging molecules brings cutting-edge science into the classroom by:
Illustrating to teachers why and how scientists study specific molecules with state-of-the-art techniques.
Giving teachers the opportunity to perform experiments side by side with scientists to learn the 'tricks of the trade'.
Introducing teaching kits and educational games that provide teachers with material to present modern concepts and techniques in a proactive approach.
The programme will include:
Seminars by top EMBL scientists.
Hands-on experiments on DNA and protein technologies.
Visits to EMBL high-tech core facilities.
Discovering bioinformatics.
A Science and Society discussion forum.
Interactive educational activities.
Who can attend the course?
All high-school science teachers are welcome. Course materials and catering will be free of charge. However, participants are expected to meet their own travel and accommodation costs.
