EMBL
Services |
 |
|
 |
The provision of high level services to its member states and the scientific community is one of EMBL's missions. The first services that EMBL provided more than 25 years ago was the use of synchrotron radiation for X-ray crystallography. This is still one of the major activities today at the EMBL Outstations in Hamburg and Grenoble but of course many other services have been added over the years and today they are ranging from biology databases for the life sciences to genomics technologies and imaging. EMBL has always been at the forefront of technology development because the close collaboration between researchers and engineering staff allows the development of tools that serve the constantly changing needs of science.
Access to other local EMBL services is provided
through a Visitors
Programme that allows scientists to come to
EMBL to use the facilities, to learn new techniques
and to find out about the latest technological
advances in areas such as electron microscopy
and imaging. |
