Advanced Training Centre Project |

 |
The EMBL Advanced Training Centre [ATC] is a unique project promoting advanced scientific training and education in Europe. Shaped like a DNA double helix, the main building hosts state-of-the-art training facilities for practical courses and computer labs together with a 450 seat auditorium, setting the scene for a new area of scientific conferences at EMBL. Integrated in the EMBL campus, it also features a new canteen, not only for the daily lunch of EMBL employees, but especially to serve the catering needs of the upcoming conference and training events.
The ATC project has been made possible through generous contributions from the host country, Germany, the Klaus Tschira Foundation and the federal state of Baden-Württemberg.
EMBL Council approved the project in an extraordinary meeting on 22 March 2006.
